What is Reflexology?

Reflexology is a sophisticated form of massage and manipulation, in which the therapist works with fingers and thumbs on reflex areas found in the feet. Since each of these reflex areas correspond to a distinct part of the body, it is possible to treat specific areas of the body. As the treatment is given via the feet, it is far less intrusive of personal space than some other therapies.

Patients usually report experiencing a feeling of deep relaxation and well-being, both during and following a treatment.

Whilst Reflexology does not claim to be a "cure-all", many clients have reported that it has helped them, both in maintaining general well-being, and improving specific complaints. These have included:

  • general pain relief
  • digestive disorders
  • headaches & migraine
  • hormonal disorders
  • insomnia
  • pregnancy related conditions
  • sinus congestion
  • stiffness in the neck or back
  • stress & anxiety
